Website redesign
Website redesign in Amsterdam.
A redesign done right keeps everything your old site earned, its rankings, its data, its best content, and replaces everything that's costing you clients.
Sites age in dog years. What launched sharp in 2019 now loads slow, squints on mobile and looks like the era it came from, and visitors read all of that as a signal about your business. But the biggest redesign risk isn't staying dated: it's the careless relaunch that throws away rankings and breaks every URL your customers saved. We've been called in to clean up after a few of those.
How we redesign without losing what works
- Audit first: what ranks, what converts, what visitors actually use. That inventory is the redesign's guardrail.
- Keep the SEO: URL mapping and redirects for every page that has earned equity, so Google follows you to the new site instead of forgetting you.
- Fix the real problems: speed, mobile experience, unclear messaging and buried calls to action, in that order of shame.
- Rebuild on solid ground: modern, fast foundations you can edit yourself, measured before and after so the improvement is a number, not a feeling.
Signs it's time
- The site takes more than about three seconds to load on a phone.
- It looks broken, or just embarrassing, on mobile, where most of your visitors are.
- You can't update it yourself, or you've stopped trying.
- Visitors come but enquiries don't: traffic without conversion is a design problem wearing a marketing costume.
- You're running ads to a site you're secretly not proud of.
Sometimes you don't need one
Not every underperforming site needs a rebuild, and we'll say so when yours doesn't. Sometimes the win is a week of targeted fixes: speed work, a clearer homepage, better product pages. Our fixed-price conversion audit is the honest way to find out which situation you're in before spending redesign money.
We redesign sites and webshops from Amsterdam for businesses across the Netherlands, including Utrecht and Eindhoven. If search visibility matters to you, our SEO team sits in the same room as the builders, literally.
Frequently asked questions
Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?
Done carelessly, yes, it's one of the most common ways businesses lose rankings. Done properly, with URL mapping, redirects and content preserved, rankings usually improve, because speed and structure get better. The redirect plan is part of every redesign we do.
Can we keep our CMS or platform?
Often yes. If the platform is sound we redesign on top of it; if it's the root problem we'll recommend a move and show our reasoning. The recommendation isn't attached to what's easiest for us to bill.
What does a redesign cost?
Comparable to a new build for the same scope: typically from around €3,000 for business sites, more for large sites and webshops, quoted fixed after we've seen what exists.
How disruptive is the switchover?
Barely: the new site is built and tested alongside the old one, and the switch itself is minutes, scheduled when your traffic is quietest.
